There's a song that used to make me sing along and feel a sense of happiness and security it represented I suppose love and family to me... Why - My old man he just loved jazz and nothing else ever except this one 'modern' album which he rarely played but sometimes when he did he would usually be in a good mood and made me feel top of the world.. anyway I wasn't allowed to play anything period..the point was we never got on. After a glorious military career he ended up becoming an invalid and struggled with alcoholism the rest of his life..
I could not cry when he passed away many locked up emotions.. then I heard that song and everything changed now when I hear it I just well up and feel the greatest sense of loss,sadness and missed opportunity. The song :
